I first started this post thinking a measuring tool would be helpful for the outsider rooms, but to be blunt I think they actively work against the other mechanics of the game. Even measuring them (ruler on the screen baby!) is 10x the work of determining the location of any other room; it's tedium to count whether a path is 15-16 steps from the start for the hermit room, but it is not fun to try and estimate the furthest distance from 8+ rooms (sometimes as many as 15!) scattered about the dungeon. Why didn't the Devil room spawn where the x in the centre is? That location is next to 3 rooms while two of the actual Devil rooms spawned next to 2 rooms. https://imgur.com/a/3b4sK7e
