I don't think that it was a huge success (500k sales) . Fighting against DEI, Sweet Baby, etc. is the right way, sure. But unfortnately A44 decdided to cooperate with Sweet Baby and got therefore massive negative attention. It's a pitty, because it's a solid 7/10 game without a noticable amount of DEI content.

There were no 500k sales. There were 500k players on gamepass (alegedly) that does not translate into much revenue. The actutal number of sales is probably in the single digit thousands.

These devs just keep putting out niche, agenda driven BS. You've got to care about the character or characters.

Estimated number according to steamdb is anywhere between 15k to 35k ppl that bought it on steam.

but im sure the "was it worth it" comment was not alluding to them making the game mechanics but the "political at least for you" side of it.

which no one that played this game actually encountered cuz none of it was ever felt forced or annoyed
but i doubt you care about that :P
