who cares
you are playing fast and loose with some terms there - if games have to really take off to make it worth it, then the list of games and devs that have gone into and continue to go into GP dont really add up. Also, many GP deals just give devs a bunch of cash upfront, and those MIGHT also include "must sell a lot to get enough money worth talking about".
Really, just in general, you seem ignorant about the business model.
Check the leaked numbers, my mentally enhanced friends, they are not particularly hard to find.
