Hello there, I get that problem when playing in party, never alone. Have you verified the game's files?

game just has no players simple as

Sometimes you have to do a restart right after your first launch of the game if you get the matchmaking failed, I had that happen with a friend for both of us when we would play

alright this time it worked after restarting router sometimes that did not fix it though

they got 400 people playin on steam just wrap it up

as easy as it is to jump to the conclusion of low Steam playercount (gotta consider the game is on Epic, Xbox, and Playstation too) the 'Matchmaking failed' error is unrelated to that.

the error happened a few seasons ago, they fixed it, now it's back again this season.
restarting the game pretty much always fixes it as long as you're quick enough to get back in.

also there are times when match tries to work then no body loads in the map and it fails

It doesn't fix it, I don't have this problem with almost anyone except for a player from Europe, I can't play with him anymore due to this bug, we tried everything and nothing worked out.
