I'd have loved a couch coop. But the game concept does seem incompatible with it. That makes total sense, as sad as it is! :(

EDIT: What if you made a mobile companion app? I know I know, crazy.. But still!...

These two above suggestions are good, attainable solutions to having local multiplayer. Despite how fun this game looks (and it does), local multiplayer is the selling-point for me and probably many others.
