Glorious technomages and technomagesses! The Cryptographers Zales and Melchor are ready to share new developments in calligraphy, and the Gods of Elinor have prepared an updated Adventurer’s Box!

Technomages of level 5 and above who have learned about the long-forgotten art from the Cryptographer and mastered the inscription of symbols that enhance character stats, will be introduced by Zales or Melchor to the possibilities of replicating learned symbols in the Calligraphy News dialogue. They will also perform the first replication of one normal symbol you have already inscribed.

After speaking with the Cryptographer, you’ll discover that each symbol can be replicated — that is, a new symbol can be formed based on an existing one. Replication results in a slightly different symbol, but it can also only be inscribed once. Each symbol can be replicated up to 4 times, one for each level beyond the level required for inscribing the original symbol.

Example: the normal symbol of health can be inscribed at character level 5, granting +20 health. At level 6, you can perform the first replication of this symbol, increasing health by 25, which requires 2 normal symbols of health. At level 7, the second replication becomes available, providing +30 health but requiring 3 normal symbols. At level 8, the third replication is available, requiring 4 symbols and giving +35 health. The final replication is available at level 9, requiring 5 symbols and increasing health by 40.

You will see information about stat increases from symbol replication and your replication progress in the quest log after speaking with the Cryptographer.

And tomorrow, on July 24th, the "Calligraphic Symbols" event begins, allowing you to obtain Ink Barrels and normal Ink for completing regular game actions. Also starting tomorrow, the Cryptographer will offer a 50% discount on normal and enchanted Ink Barrels.

The updated Adventurer’s Box will now be issued at every level. The contents of the Worn, Old, and Normal Adventurer’s Boxes have been updated, and their descriptions now include a complete list of contents. All characters missing one of the listed boxes types have been issued a new Adventurer’s Box V, while older (Enchanted–Legendary) boxes, if present, have been removed.

Each box starting from V contains a Cryptographer's Golden Feather, allowing you to inscribe one random symbol you have not yet inscribed or replicate a random symbol.

By players request, copying messages with the sender’s nickname has been restored in all chat channels except the trade channel.

The Epic Chest contains a durable Stone of Calm Vulnerability for an earring. This gem combines the effects of two runes - a level-appropriate Tranquility Rune and a new unique Vulnerability Rune, which has a 6% chance, when receiving damage, to reduce your opponent's base damage by 2–7% (depending on your level) for 5 turns.

A recipe for this rune will be introduced in the future, but for now, don’t miss your chance to obtain it from the Epic Goblin Chest!
