Game runs terribly on my rig
For some reason the framerate is very unstable and can drop to 11 FPS when Spider-Man Remastered never did that and runs with a very smooth 60 FPS, I really had no problem with the first game
I monitored my components and noticed that my graphics card would be cooling down to 55°C when the frames dropped, when it is working normally it is at 65°C so I think that there is a problem there
I reinstalled the nvidia drivers, it fixed things up and then 5 mins later the framedrops come back and it is unplayable in some areas of the game's map
Here are my specs:
I9 9900k at 4.8Ghz
32gb of RAM at 3466
RTX 2080

turn off RT, 2080 has 8gm of vram so if youre setting texture quality to very high you are gonna see stutters as vram is maxed out and pagefile is engaged

RT was already turned off, I play with high settings on 4K but with DLSS on balanced, texture on high as well, not very high
With these settings, the first spider-man was running at an average of 60 FPS
The problem isn't that the game runs poorly, it's that my graphics card stops working normally at some point or location and it stops heating
I never had that problem on any game before

The latest nVidia drivers have been pretty messy. I would try doing a Display Driver Uninstaller (look up ddu guru3d) then reinstall the latest drivers. Helped me with some issues I've had in other games. Good luck!

I'll give that a shot, thanks !

Are you serious, I have multiple PCs with both AMD and NVIDIA and both crash with this game.

So I finally had time to do that and test the game now with the new nvidia drivers and the new update on the game and performance is even worse...
Now it's like the CPU isn't doing much and neither is the GPU, I really don't understand why it only does that on this game in particular, OG Spider-Man still runs like a charm
Both my CPU and GPU temperatures are so low, so I know that they aren't doing anything while I'm playing

What's your system specs?
- Do you run your CPU stock, overclocked, turbo enhanced?
- What is your DDR4 memory speed and timings.
- Is your GPU running stock or OC'd?

I have 2 PCs that are similar to yours but I do not run this at 4K because this hardware at best is 1440p, but runs superb FPS at 1080p. 4K is a bridge too far for this hardware.
What FPS do you get when you play Miles Morales at 1080p - Highest Preset?

Between these two PCs the frame rate is between 90-150 fps.

RIG 1:
CPU - Ryzen 7 3700X, Precision Boost Overdrive + Manual scaler at 4x
Memory - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3000 OC 3800 CL16-16-19-21-37 DR
GPU: Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary OC'd

RIG 2:
CPU - Ryzen 9 5900X, Precision Boost Overdrive + Manual scaler at 6x + Curve Optimizer
Memory - 32GB T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200 OC 3800 CL16-16-19-21-36 SR
GPU: Zotac RTX 2080 Amp OC'd

GPU: Zotac RTX 2080 Amp OC'd

I have precisely that:
8gb RTX 2080 overclocked at 1920 MHz
i9-9900k is overclocked as well at 4.8-5Ghz
32 gb of DDR4 RAM at 3466Mhz
M.2 SSD NVME Gen.3

The game is running on 4K with DLSS on Adaptative 60FPS, with high settings and no ray-tracing, once the game reaches some location or if I change something in the graphics, the FPS drop to 11 and the game is unplayable until I restart it
Also, CPU and GPU temps are very low for that kind of use (60°C max), God of War was getting my GPU to 78°C but the game ran a very smooth 60 FPS in 4K high settings

it runs at 60 fps on 1080p and a bit more with the same settings but has big framerate drops as well, it's just that it comes back up later

The thing is that Spider-Man Remastered ran a smooth 60 FPS with the same exact settings in 4K, so I don't understand this game wouldn't on my PC while it's supposed to run better than the OG Spider-Man
It's like Miles Morales is cursed on my PC basically lol
I have the same problem the first game runs crisp. Miles morales runs like a ps2 game on my pc. Everything feels like its so pixelated and blurry and i thought my pc was just bad. But when i Played the first game i was so suprised that it was running so smoothly. Hopefully the 3rd game doesn't run like morales. I too am cursed with the burden of Morales
