You should also mention that rumble doesn't work on game pass games and the workaround is a potential headache if you have any other xinput devices, like my keyboard for example which was hogging the first slot.

I am having the same problem as this guy. I turned off the setting and the vibration is still not working. Please help I've been going crazy over this.

This is not helpful at all. Its still not working.

I figured out is my annoying usb cord headset conflicting when I want to use 7.1 surround sound on Razer kraken xv3 so switching to normal helps to get haptic feedback on audio

For the audio haptics not working, I found the only way to make it work is to enable the "Disable Controller Vibrations" and then toggle on the "Enable Incoming Vibrations while disabled".

This is the only way I could get the native haptics support to work in FFXIV and God of War personally with DSX running.

audio haptics being tricky is understandable but your keyboard shouldnt be considered an xinput device... xinput is just the part of dx11/12 that talks with the xbox controller. It really only works to its fullest when wired or using the official wireless dongle.

The winddows store is full of bad reviews for the controller config app which is really for the elites and official ms headset plus firmware updates on reg xb1 controllers. Only the elites afaik can have keys rebound. So most features of that app dont do anything without an elite 1 or 2

Most of peoples issues is actually them via bluetooth while steaminput is also enabled. It causes conflicts with the xbox driver because it keeps hooking its inputs to change them into MKB input which is sent to the game. It really messes with them when no game is running because the xb1 controllers can be used as mice in win10/11 without any extra software

Analog keyboards such as mine have multiple outputs including xinput my friend. Analog keys only work as analog keys when using controller drivers and Windows sees the keyboard as a controller. https://i23.servimg.com/u/f23/11/06/61/84/captur16.png

Please fix DS4 profile not having any vibration, even while plugged in.

hey nightlight not sure what game pad you are using but im using PS5 controller and if the battery is not charged the vibration will not work. hope this may help

The app worked then just stopped working all of a sudden.. Really not impressed to so far to be honest

same here! It only works when emulating Xbox controller. with ps5 dualsense.
