Cave Story had no reason to go as hard as it did with a Christmas spin-off game, and I got to say that it's probably one of the best Christmas games out there. Not Bayonetta 2 level, but it's up there. The game is a fun little telling of our main protag taking the role of Santa as we stealth our way through people's houses as we eat cookies and leave presents! Often you will be going through vents, moving blocks, and avoiding the likes of being spot by the various present getters as you do these actions. While it is a stealth game, most of the houses do come across more as a puzzle rather than stealth sequence, but then again a lot of these houses also come across as death traps too.

Cave Story's Secret Santa is cheap as free, and worth your time with a nice short and sweet run. The game does pretty much everything it wants to with in the levels given, and while the levels are never challenging they are interesting in the way that will hold your attention. Ascetically it's a very pleasant game to look at and listen to. And most of all you get to wack people with your bag! If you're looking to celebrate Christmas with a video game this year, Cave Story's Secret Santa is a great take on the stealth formula while still being holly and jolly.

Great game! It's a short and fun puzzle game perfect to play during the holiday season! I'm a fan of cave story but this can be enjoyed by anyone and would recommend it if you have an hour or two!
