Yeah, seems unlikely steam is gonna approve the new design given what they have not been allowing for years now. Gotta agree with this entire post unfortunately.

That part about the purposeful delay went through my head while I was on my way home tonight, nice to see it in thoughtful writing though. I disagree though maybe it is a cultural thing but I saw the new render and indeed to me it looked like an adult.

Ahh this...I wish PH would just drop this character entirely and the rabid fanbase that desire her. It's going to be the death knell of this game (aside from the pseudo beasty content). I mean, Alet is passable but Gal is just leaning too much to one side that most sensible people are not going to adhere to. I think the email roll out and Patreon post was either a tactical nuke, or a really dumb move. It's probably quite easy to amend her looks, but seems like she's a pawn in the cash cow milking stakes.

Nothing wrong with having petite characters in a game Marie Rose from Dead or Alive is a perfect example but what was showed in the post will never get approved by Steam if the previous version of her was not approved.

Also noticed they hid the post they made about the monthly polls coming back that had the new Galatea picture so you can no longer view or reply to it.

My guess is they were going to present the new design to Steam and then again say "Hey we are having issues getting the character approved by Steam" If you are waiting for this character I'd advise waiting until she is actually in the game before re subbing. They've been trying to get her approved for the last 3-4 years which is crazy.

Marie Rose still looks 18+ though, just flat chested. Every Galatea image I've seen looks younger. Given that DOA games don't feature sexual content, she can sit comfortably in that game. But this game has a massive sexual slant and those beasties. So having Marie Rose in this game is going to look somewhat weird to some people. There's petite, then there's too young looking.

Yes, I find it strange that when Helius determined and asked the community if they were okay with making her taller and more adult looking to help her get approved, and we all said yes, he proceeds to make her look the youngest she has ever looked in that Patreon post, instead.

It seems obvious that the intent was to find an excuse to have her delayed to continue baiting with her instead of doing what we were promised, making a more adult scaled petite woman. His total lack of silence is especially telling.

I don't know where you live but The older Galatea's body type is pretty common in the US in some areas where obesity rates aren't out of control. The same is true for the face, at least up until around 28-29 where it often starts to age more rapidly (and even then not always). The newer one though...

Like Rushasu mentioned, there were actually Patreon posts that Helius made of the older Galatea version but he deleted them to hide them while giving a contradictory statement about her approval a while back. Somehow we went from that version to... this version.

I think the issue is Steam not Helius. He mentioned just two days ago that everything is complete with Gala and didn't want to lose all that work put into it, but this issue with Steam is on-going. There's also the fact that, wrong move made here and the whole game gets destroyed due to reasons. So be careful what you wish for. A lot of these rabid Gala fans aren't looking at the bigger picture.

Well, they do in the eyes of Steam and that's the hurdle to overcome.

Um, that recent post on Patreon, was more than just Anime Loli. It was an obvious UA looking girl. And given the nature of this game, I completely understand Steam's reasoning. But let people up in arms over this cause the end of this game. Devs gotta play ball with the powers that be.

I've also found (with my Youtube especially) is that the argument that, "well so and so has this without issue" just doesn't wash with the eyes that are monitoring these things.

Those people are on proper PWR trips.

Steam relies on community feedback to make decisions, communities tend to create these collective mosh pits where all it takes is one voice to set off everyone else and like any other savage tribe around a carcass they wont let go until they are pretty sure whatever they harpooned is dead, or they get bored, or something off the two. I just disagree, the first thing that came to mind was a stubby girl aged 19-25 so we need to consider intention not hallucinatory assertions by half wits in the so called "community" of concerned customers or whatever. release Galatea, I will gladly purchase her research pass and wear it like a badge of honour.
