I was just in your shoes, hope this helps
I see, its a bit of a different mentality than what i was going with, I'll try that jade loadout and update this post if it works or doesnt work, might compile some tips
I went through quite a few different styles of play before I achieved victory. The Jade that makes parries grant internal damage, plus talismans burning that up was the key for me. It consistently got me through phase 1 faster than trying to successfully pull off a 5-point Full Control.
That said, I can get overwhelmed with too many things to juggle at once, and Flowing Water was a compensation for that. But I simply *cannot* imagine surviving Round 2 while using Full Control.
Yeah ever since i got flowing water i haven't swapped to anything else, most bosses are wayyyy too quick to consider a slower talisman imo, also i didn't know there was a jade that makes parries grant internal damage, i got a jade that heals internal damage on hit so if i get that jade you talked about with my jade i imagine i will be in a far better situation
Just managed to beat the boss at a sliver of hp, def not one of my favorite bosses but i think what i was doing wrong is not heavy blocking their red attack in phase 2, i didnt think i had enough time to do a heavy parry but it turns out there is just enough time, Once i had that down i had way more openings to attack and heal.
Congrats on the win!
I also went and fought the boss over in the ruins near the tomb of Lear, fun boss, beat him on my 7th try
In related news, I ended up flipping to story mode for the final boss. There's nice sliders so you can create your own difficulty level by adjusting the percent damage you do and percent damage you take.
Honestly, I think I could've learned it with time, but the fights that had taken a long time had worn me out, and I ready to return to my interrupted Persona 5R run 😳
Thats entirely valid, have fun with your P5R run and thanks for chattin!
