Amazing story, great graphics, but whatever the other games in the series had that kept me constantly engaged/drawn in, this game is dearly missing. It just feels janky and unpolished. The different styles are unbalanced, I'm sure you've heard others complain about the trooper cards, there are a lot of friendship quests that involve just doing something repetitively, and idk... there's just something missing.

If you don't care about any of its glaring problems and are only in it for the story/love of the series (if you're the type of person to also be able to get through the first Assassin's Creed), then by all means, try it out. Otherwise, don't feel like you're missing out on anything.

Worst combat in the series still a solid game 7.5/10

Only buy on steep sale and only if you want to complete your Yakuza collection. Ishin is somehow worse than Yakuza 3. Boring slog every step of the way.
