Offline Progression

Is offline progression a possibility as I get further into the game? When it's closed it feels like nothing has happened when I rejoin.

Offline gives gold and inspiration depending on what stage you closed the game at (as far as I remember), and jelly, but how offline income works earning jelly I haven't thought about =)
