Hey, there is no coop mode for the Early Access launch for sure. We are planning on potentially looking into coop at the later stages of Early Access or 1.0 to see if that's something we could potentially add, but it's not something we're committing to 100% definitely implementing. Lots and lots of physics + multiplayer is super hard!
Thank you for the quick answer. not sure what was the clip I saw could have been a different game with similar artstyle
nope! game was set to release not some dedgaem
If you find the game, I'm interessed in the name.
Hey! Co-op is something I would love to see in the game too, but the truth is that physics + multiplayer = suuuuper hard. Not to say it's impossible, but it's very very tricky. The game wasn't designed with multiplayer in mind (from a technical standpoint, or a design standpoint) so I think getting something to work in coop would require a tooonnne of rework and redesign - almost to the point where it would be almost like a new game!
In terms of kickstarters, I know it's harder to succeed on kickstarter now more than ever and is actually a lot of work to set up and run and be successful there. I have thought about Patreon as well, but at the end of the day, taking money like that always adds extra pressure to deliver something - so it's definitely a double edge sword!
I have said to myself that actually looking into coop is something I would like to do for Early Access, without promising anyone anything as I don't want to get anyones hopes up.
Out of interest, how would you see coop working in the game? Would it be sandbox mode only, with 2 people building? Or completing missions together? Interested to hear peoples thoughts :)
(Sidenote I would totally do them all solo no matter how hard it is.)
