That is also happening to me. I just press Esc to remedy it. Use the tools when the magnifying glass icon is not showing and you good to go

I think it would be better if they paired that magnifier button a different way.. maybe shift plus click? i am also not sure how helpful it is considering how easy it is to see the plant once you know what it looks like.. a wiki with the seasonality of ingredients make more sense

Or make it 'click and hold'. In any case, the 'hover' function just isn't working and is not practical at all. Too clunky

Hitting escape only pulls up the other menu. At this point the magnifying glass is automated. I hover over any plant and it pops up. I have my scythe set to 3, I go to left click and the magnifying glass shows up. This is making the game unplayable. Help please!

Ok I figured it out. If you don't hold the curser over the item you want to harvest and hit the left button on the mouse you can use the tools to harvest and whatever else you need to do.
