History Repeats Itself
Condensed form.

The Devs, known as Uber Entertainment at the time, crowd funded a game & then brought it to Steam Early Access in 2012. The game was called Planetary Annihilation. They slapped a pay wall on it that was $90. Claimed it was there for the true fans and those that wanted to help.

Game went live and it was a buggy mess. Devs actually fought with the community in the forums. This eventually led to a full melt down by the devs, Scorch Earthing the forums of criticism that was civil.

Within about a year the game was fully releasing, but under cooked.

DLC followed in 2015. More units and improved the tutorial. Still under cooked.

The devs moved on and in 2018 previous members of the PA dev team, along with community members bought the rights to PA. The game received a lot more love after that.

Uber dissolved in 2019.

I'd expect more of the same as it is the same 2 guys in charge of the company. I'd expect less interaction this time around and more refinement in their tactics. Hopefully a better product, but from the looks of it that is not the case. Probably abandonware.

It's already abandonware.

Steam should pull it out.

It's a scam.
Yeah, PA was the most expensive T-Shirt I have ever bought.

In that case, why is Steam so sloppy with such developers? Is Gabe only concerned with moneymaklng (and scuba diving)?

I doubt the CEO of Amazon knows of a bad merchant on their platform. So I really doubt Gabe even knows about the developer.

It happens they changed their publisher and developer name and they cant vent everything. Its legit just a copy and paste game pretty much

What publisher? They kickstarted Planetary Annihilation, aka crowd funded it. They were the developer and publisher back then, as they are now.

Like I said...

I always enjoyed masterofroflness his PA streams and also playing the game myself.
I started back in the day with TA and got quite addicted to it.

Quite sad to see how it went from very good TA to this...
