How on earth did you get a hold of my email?

I never once gave you guys my contact, nor have I wishlisted/followed your product and suddenly today I receive an email from you Industrial Annihilation Team (team@planetaryannihilation.com) promoting this game.

The email I got was addressed to "me"+loadout because I usually tag my email addresses for these accounts with the + symbol and suffix a name I can associate with the name or company. (Most email providers support this btw).

Loadout was made by Edge of Reality in Austin, Texas, which closed in 2018. So they must've bought Edge of Reality or merged or whatever, or perhaps just bought the email list.

Same for me, they are probably using some leaked databases to promote the game. I reported them.

Same here. To my understanding, in the UK at least, it's illegal for them to advertise to your email without prior consent, check your local laws and report them where you can, including on Steam.

Same here as well. This is not right. Just checked the store page and this game is ignored by me. I've obviously told steam before (But can't remember when) that this game is of no interest to me.

Thank you for identifying that, I did play Loadout at somepoint so this makes sense to me. Ironic that loadout partially closed down because it couldn't afford to comply with the EU GDPR and now it's email lists are used like this.

I never played this trash game, so its maybe just one part of the email lists. I think I retreived the email due to playing the planetary annihilation.
