Few things to think about (not negative thread)
Now that i got to try the game littlebit and peacefull base building in sandbox
i have some not negative things to say but a few things anyway.

1.The symbols for materials ect are very confusing.. they really need to make a gear look like a gear -- iron look like iron ingot and so on ... atm now it feel like shapez and i do not like it at all.
2. The power system confuses the hell out of me... MAchines seem to work fine without me build any sort of power... and there is no Power indicator that tell if you have enough power in an area... or are there ? just me not see it?
3. The game automation system else seems to have the basics up, even this game need a lot of quality of life improvments, but that normally are later in development...
*** first they need to get the base game off the ground, atm if you compare it to building a car, only the frame is finish so fare:)

your commander is a power supply with a range area when you push the left ♥♥♥♥ key.
tought when many power supply its hard to discriminate who is what circle since the selected unit is not highlighted.
you maybe comapre the hull because the frame is cosmetic ?

Most buildings take 100 MW of power to run at 100% efficiency.
The advanced fabs take 300.
Extractors optionally take 25 but can run at 1/4th the speed without power.

Your commander produces 100 MW of power in a small circle around himself, visible by holding down Shift. The ring around him will connect to the network of any other ring it even slightly overlaps with, and all those touching rings will be part of the same power network.

The 'efficiency' of your buildings viewable in the corner is a good way to quickly see if you're just supplying enough power or not, but there's also some information on how much power the connected network is producing and consuming at any given moment right next to it.


Gotta agree though. Icons are hard to differentiate by the image alone. The devs have been pretty transparent about working on stabilizing the game before working on QoL and balancing, though. Gotta have somewhere on that frame to put the engine and wheels.
