No it isn't. Same company, same devs. Last one had a road map, too... But that road map was just part of the blatant bait-and-switch scam they ran on that game. Along with edited Kickstarter pages to lie about what was offered.
Well, you're probably a dev or one who know them i dont think anyone else would take it as personal as you did.
Galactic Annihilation is a different group of people. Yes, some former devs of the original games, as well as modders and kickstarter backers. These aren't, for the most part, the same people.
which is a moot point because I think most people who were actually there during the heyday of Planetary Annihilation/Titans would agree, that game was pretty damn fun.
I think people are just snowflakes, ive put 12 hours into this game already and the discord is actually quite active. If you find it hard to give the benefit of the doubt, thats fine but that's your issue.
Fact is everything i stated is still true. You don't know something until you know.
This game has also been in concept and development for much longer than PA was when it got advertised. As our friend said PA was actually a real fun and crazy cool game, that was very popular to play, the only thing that tipped it was the re-name and re-release of TITANS.
You unfortunately are on the bandwagon of people who don't research and know what theyre talking about. Scamming is illegal, and furthermore has consequences, legal consequences. If it were a genuine scam there would have been a lot more action then what there actually was.
Although the method and execution of what they did wasnt transparent or very considerate (to those who werent informed of the whole picture) it did not break laws or rules, just snowflakes who cant handle the way the world works behind the scenes where they dont dare to stick their nose in.
So no, im not a dev, nor do i know any of them. But i have payed the game, seen its creation from when it was first displayed to public, read and informed myself of all its plans, future direction and current state,
and calling it a potential scam is not what comes to mind.
So i'd like to encourage you to educate yourself of 1; what a scammer is, 2; legal consequences for commit the crime, 3; steams consequences for such act, and 4; how to make informed statements, not mob mentality opinions ;)
either way, i wouldnt suggest buying it because of the current content and state its in, basically pre-alpha, not worth your $40, unless youve been following it since day 1
Cool game, no doubt, riddled with MTX for skins although you bought it twice and if bad luck then for the entry pricepoint.
Also it doesnt matter what UberEnt became, because individual members of the team can simply quit and reform a new company that does the exact same thing again.
You believing that theres no connection makes a "dunce", especially since it was already THIS company that released Titans and did the bait and switch to begin with.
Go back into the original games announcement board and you will see.
