Why do you get nerfed when you enter the doppelganger fight?
Whats the point of leveling yourself and getting a bunch of attacks when I lose 80% of my kit when I enter the fight with the doppelganger? is this some stupid increase in difficulty? I was working on finishing all the bosses in the castle off and I only had 3 remaining and I decided to take on doppelganger and it killed me quickly because I lost 80% of my damage when I went into the room which is stupid and theres no reasoning around it, is this a bug or is there any logical reasoning as to why only this boss has this room ability??? And yes I know if you fight them earlier on its quite easy, however its a different story when they are level 380...

Never had any issues killing them. Sounds like you have like super low health.

Yeah it was no issue with my health, if you want to see what I was rocking I have a video here https://streamable.com/tvqjz8 basically NOTHING could kill me, I was running through bosses besides Doppelganger like they were tin foil.

You would have been a lot more survivable if you took Centralis Custos.

Cerberus' vengeful head occurs above the character, damaging enemies it touches. It also provides a +10 Armor, +2.0 Recovery, and -10% Cooldown boost when the character is taking damage.
Evolved Refectio to Salvation will 1shot the doppelgangers.

I think I had that...either way when I go into that room, I lose 80% of my kit, what you see on screen doesn't happen when I fight the doppelganger, and worse the jump is so bad it makes it damn near impossible to avoid the boss cause its way faster than me and stays right beside me, next time I do this I'm gonna get a video of it, but I was literally mowing down enemies in that run.
Ok yeah there is definitely something happening here, this is a video of what happens when I enter the Doppelganger fight, you can clearly see what I had before I went in, and how it just broke off or just stopped working entirely. I had an easier time because I didn't wait 2 hours to go after this boss. https://streamable.com/axfk4a
Yeah I've been wondering if that is on purpose or not, too. But like, when the fight first starts, most of your weapons just shut off, and you have to wait for them to slowly come back online one-by-one. I'm genuinely not sure if they programmed it that way deliberately or if its a bug.

See thats what I thought, I was like maybe if I dodge long enough they come back....nope that doesn't happen, all my major damage AOES and most of my dps abilities just stay disabled for the fight.

Im not sure what you are doing wrong there. But doppelganger lasted like 2-3 seconds before they were a goner in my just finished 30m run.

I mean you can clearly see, I was absolutely wrecking everything before coming into the room, the problem is when I lose so many of my abilities my DPS goes out the window.

Might because you dont have retaliation damage.
I've... never gotten close to losing the Doppleganger.

Your weapons come back pretty quickly over time, as long as you don't die immediately I suppose.
It is most definitely a thematic decision. Doppleganger fights are usually 1 for 1 the same weapon load out. This game is hard to do that, so they drop you to your first weapon at first, for that drama of truly feeling like a 1v1. His attack patterns are simple. Just don't run into him, and you're board wiping attacks will all be back within 2 minutes.

Not true, I avoided him for a good 3-4 min and nothing was returning, furthermore he was so fast he was just running beside me and I couldn't avoid him, also keep in mind he was level 378, so if he ran up to me I was dead in a matter of seconds, just him alone was enough to exhaust all my revives. So basically I just learned that his fight his kinda BS so not to leave him to the last few bosses on the map remaining, soon as I enter the castle I do all the bosses in a straight line going to Doppelganger to get it out of the way.
