why sometimes everything seems to slow down?

Hello, I rarely comment on the steam community but thought this might be a nice opportunity to try to help since i noticed a pretty apparent issue. I downloaded the demo of this game as the trailer reminded me a lot of one of my favorite games, Klonoa and would like to play it fully at a later date especially if this issue is addressed. Anyways, i started up the first level in and instantly noticed quite aggressive camera judder when moving around, despite framerates being locked at 120fps and frametime ...

I entered the sanctuary of the omnibag by incidence, meanwhile I have not acquired the omnibag itself. So now I cannot continue the sanctuary, nor can I return to the great elevator(the option is gray). What can I do to continue the game?
