You'd get more enjoyment from going to an art museum that is full of objects nailed to walls than playing through any of the dungeons in this game. Those art pieces probably have more fake emotion and meaning behind them than this game does. The game is objectively worse than both SMT and Persona, visually and gameplay-wise. The animations are lazy and slow and have no style whatsoever. It's no more a Soul Hackers game than any other JRPG is.

I 100%ed this game because I very very rarely complete games. Honestly I'd rather eat dirt for the rest of my life than do it again. Even then, to 100% the game you need to play through it for a 2nd time on New Game+ because you don't get enough points in a certain social stat meter with your teammates to access their final respective dungeon floor. So you can't unlock either the Soul Matrix 5F achievement, nor the 100% compendium completion achievement. So to skip another 40 hours I gave myself max of the stat and it changed absolutely nothing other than being able to do all of the content in the first play-through. If you do want to play this game, play it drunk or high so you may actually appreciate the awfully constructed gameplay loops and dungeons Atlus has created.

The only good points I can give to this game is that the main character Ringo is well written and is voice acted really well. She sounds like she's actually in the sound booths talking with the other characters to do her lines. Another good point is that the Commander Skills you get access to work well for the otherwise boring gameplay. They are skills you can use that affect your team for their entire turn, letting you change all of your character's demons for the turn (whilst also letting them take their turn with their new demon), giving your team a massive defence boost to take big attacks and even let your normal skills give you Sabbath stacks for the turn (Just search SH2 Sabbath on google).

I really tried to enjoy this but every time I looked at my game hours without completing the game yet it made me hate the game even more. At least the endings were nice I'll give it that.

Do play the game though if you see it's on a 90% off sale.

I'm glad they have an option for japanese menus.
