The start is rough. First 30-45m I almost threw in the towel. The MC isn't just flawed but seems to have 0 redeeming qualities. And not in a he's a jerk, in a emotionally and mentally broken kind of way. Totally push over and afraid of everything.

HOWEVER after the first 45m or so and he meet his friend from high school the story takes a really nice turn. She along with his therapist really start to get him on the mend. The story is REALLY a story about redemption and picking up the pieces more so then the sci fi elements. And that's ok, it does a REALLY good job with that and to me kept the story really interesting seeing this man go on his journey of healing his life while a interesting subplot of his HS friend restarting her parents company. Which seems to featured a fully working android they were near completing before their passing. The aforementioned name of the title, Artemis. In the end the story and characters won me over. The deeper you get in the game the better it gets.

Not a ton of sexy time, but a reasonable amount. That said, a lot of flirting and slow burn relationships which I am ok with. The sexy time there is, is well done and makes sense as part of the story. If I was a betting man book 1 is laying the ground work with most of the LI's. Book 2 will be a lot of pay offs.

My first play through got ~15hrs of play time. So IMO a good content for price ratio.

A strong recommendation from me and looking forward to book 2.
