Ever since adobe bought substance painter and designer I don't want to pay the sub fee because I'm paying triple the amount and I'm not ok with that. This is the 2022 version, but do you still get updates for this in 2023? and is it going to be getting supported and If i buy this on steam do i get to keep this version and use it forever?...

I got Substance Designer 2021, and have been on and off. Took a break and now I want to continue my learning on this amazing software, especially since I'm using Unreal Engine now. Should I upgrade, or just stick with what I have? My fear is that they'll take down 2022, and wont release anymore standalone versions of the software, so...2021 will be all I have left to work with. Any thoughts on what I should do as a beginner with the 2021 version?...
