Chilli Con Valley is a 3D platformer about guiding a bean to a pot of chilli. The player jumps over various obstacles and hazards along the way. Getting through the levels demands persistence. At least that's how the developer presents this. In reality this is a garbage 3D platformer with no value as a serious game.

In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. We at least know this isn't an asset flip due to the deplorably low quality assets... no self respecting content creator would ever publish them. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

As usual, with some of the worst games on Steam, all the comedians come out of the woodwork. The vast majority of the reviews for this game are joke reviews, mocking the game for just how bad it is. The comedians give us the usual "this game cured my cancer, saved my marriage, changed my life" story... sarcastic, but not useful if you want to know if the game is worth it. Because most of the reviews are as insincere as the game itself is, the positive review score for this game should be disregarded.
