Welcome once more for some news on our upcoming game, Pyrene! We have been very pleased with the response from Forward players and we wanted to share more with you on the game.

Today we’re going to explore some of the stories of the characters in the game starting with Atanaïa, “thy who does not die” in Greek.

She grew up an orphan who found kindness and family at the village and seeks now to help those who helped her when she was most vulnerable. Her greatest weakness is how easily she can be influenced and through her adventure in Pyrene she will learn to face this weakness and overcome it.

Our second character is Mathilda, the village blacksmith who has had to grow up quick and grow up strong. She’s grown into an authoritative figure who had always intended to defend the most vulnerable villagers such as Atanaïa. During Pyrene, Mathilda will learn to question her opinions and be more acceptant of others.

Then we have Lanoé, whose introverted personality led them to a life of studying parchments. Their difficulty to open up ended up in them missing out on many relationships. Their goal in Pyrene will be to understand their own feelings and to share their study of books to others and become a pillar of knowledge in the village.

We’ve been laying low for the past few months as we’ve been waiting for it to be the right moment to announce Two Tiny Dice’s next game: PYRENE.

You can visit the Steam page now and don't forget to wishlist!

You’ll play as the villagers in the aftermath of the destruction of their village as they try and collect resources to rebuild their homes. You will need to fight off the terrifying creatures that populate the mountains in order to reunite the villagers and find treasures to become stronger.

After the success of Forward: Escape the Fold, we decided to work on a more ambitious project where we could create more complex systems and use the help of a professional artist (Jeanne) and writer (Marion). If you’re a fan of Forward then you’ll most likely be a fan of Pyrene.

Hello everyone,

The past 48 hours have been very intense on my side but now the line is crossed and I can announce the launch of Forward: Escape the Fold to iOS & Android. It's so exciting for me :)

Maybe some of you have heard of this event already, but tomorrow January 31st at 12:30PM EST, the Montreal-based Indie Asylum will showcase the Asylum Direct[www.asylumdirect.com].

The event will put forth indie video games from a number of different studios that compose the Indie Asylum, an indie game community working together in Montreal.

What is the Asylum Direct? An online event showcasing the games of the collective.

Happy Spooktober everyone,

If you have not heard of Forward: Escape the Fold - it's a card-based roguelike where you must continuously go FORWARD in order to escape the dungeons. The game was released in March and stands at a "Very Positive" rating on Steam (with 400+ reviews). You can try it out here!

To celebrate the Ultimate Edition of the game, I have added to the game an EXCLUSIVE challenge to the game themed around Halloween. This is a permanent event!

The challenge will consist in a 4 starting item build:

• Living Heart: Replaces all Heart cards with item cards
  
• Monster Skull: Adds 3 enemies in all future levels
  
• Monster Bone (x2): Gives -1 to enemy cards
  
• Healing Ring: After using your power, you heal by 4HP

Successfully winning this challenge will award the player a NEW object card: the Jack-O'-Lantern

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since the game got updated - the waiting ends NOW!

This update brings all the content I really wanted to bring the game and that I couldn't include earlier. Without further ado, here are the update notes:

• 1 NEW Character with 3 unique powers
  
• 14 NEW items
  
• 3 NEW Challenges
  
• 1 NEW Status Recovery
  
• Some NEW secrets (I hope you find it!)
  
• a LOT of balancing from characters to items and powers

This update signals the ultimate version of the game - meaning, I believe I have built the game I wanted to make and will be creating very little new content from this point onwards. I will happily fix the game if needed but will be focusing my attention on my next game!

In addition, as I discussed on DIscord, in the near future there will be a mobile port of the game! Keep your eyes peeled for that :)
