PixelOver 0.16.1 - Canvas rework

Hello! Here is the stable version featuring reworked canvas and export functionalities.

You may notice that there are fewer updates than usual, this is because the software is currently being migrated to the next major version of the engine used (Godot Engine 4).

Changes

Rework of the canvas to make it more intuitive.

This has slightly changed the shader effects, introducing a size option for tiled mode. However, shader effects will need further rework in a future update to make them more flexible and easier to use.

The auto export area now hides the previously visible rectangle.

Manual export area setup is now easy and straightforward.

Added a new canvas resizing option in the toolbar, with the C key as a shortcut by default.

Improved export functionality, now way faster with more feedback.

New menu option added next to the shader name input.

Crash on mint linux

The application crashes and freezes on mint when I ctrl +c then ctrl + v a layer (mint 22, Ubuntu 24.04)

Why does it always insert linear transition frame for me when I import a blender model with animation?

I have a blender file with animation, which includes 40+ key frames and nothing else. But when I imported it into Pixelover then exported as .aseprite file, I found the sequence of frames in .aseprite file is weird and not 100% duplicate as the blender animation, let's say I found a lot of auto-generated frame for transition (VFI, Video Frame Interpolation, Pixelover automatically inserts a lot of middle frames for transition that I never want them exist at all). How can I avoid these useless and annoying ...

Hello! Here is a pre-release to introduce a rework of the canvas and the export. Please note that pre-release versions may be unstable.

Report a bug about adding animation tracks has been bothering me for a long time

When I want to add an object to the animation track, the name of the object is not displayed in the "Add Track" window, but I select an empty button with no name, I click on it to see the object properties on the right and be able to add, but because I can't see the name of the object (whether it is named in English or not, this phenomenon occurs, I used bone attachment deformation and IK, And then when I want to animate, I see the above phenomenon) Although I can see the names of some of the parent object...

After updating the app the behavior changed.

Previously when exporting a project the folder containing the open image was selected and the name of the export was the name of the open image + export, but now it is blank. Also, the default value for "Area and size" is set to "Canvas defined area". Even if you change the settings, they will be changed again the next time you start the app. Could you please revert to the behavior before 0.16.1.1 or fix it so that user changed settings are saved?...

my experience with the demo wasn't the greatest and i was hoping the payed version would of had the issues removed, however it doesn't

the good part: is the animation and rigging is better than any art app I've seen online i can keep track of the brush easily

issues I've had: there is no blank canvas layer, you can only import images and then tear them apart to rig them, i had to make art in another app, import it from that app into this one and then rig it. non stop crashing happens meaning my work can and has been corrupted multiple times and it is pretty stressful to use.

If the app is updated to be better in the future I will try it again but until then, no thanks.

TLDR:
4/10 crashes too much, not artist friendly for those who want to make art on it, but animating is incredible
