An interactive parody television series

But the game is still highly repetitive, you've seen everything the game offers after the first Ranked Match and boss battle. Now repeat that for the 7 Evil Exes 10 Galactic Aliens and repeat all the story beats of NMH1-2. With the terrible overworld coming back with a (MUUUUUCH BETTER) motorcycle to ride around in.

Do jobs to grind up money (or use Cheat Engine to skip the Shenmue elements) for getting to the bosses to go through a terrible story.

The only time I legit laughed is when the game turns into a Super Smash Brothers clone for the final-final battle because it was out of left field after they talk about doing a "Sumo" battle.

Otherwise Suda is 0-5 with me.

Ho-hum.

My review is slightly biased because I've played all the other NMH games in chronological order.

My favorite thing about No More Heroes is the fact that it never fails to make me laugh. Its story and world has always been simultaneously hilariously absurd and really cool, which NMH 3 has in spades but now with a more polished battle system (sadly, a few features missing from old games but still a welcome progression from NMH 1, 2, and my favorite of the series TSA:NMH), a killer BGM (plus surprise musical sections), and more awesome mechs.

My only issue with the game is the truly horrible loot system (Monster Hunter~esque) where the drop rates are very low and sometimes tedious to even start a battle (Special Missions). You basically have to spend an extra 30-50+ hours if you're a completionist.

Aside from that, after playing NMH I've become a fan of Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture. Looking forward to playing more games from them.
