Hello inmates!

Back to the Dawn is currently participating in The Storyteller's Festival, which lasts from Feb 18th to Feb 25th! So be sure to share about our game with your friends and family!

Lately, we've been receiving more and more comments from you requesting for game updates sooner. We completely understand everyone's eagerness as we are quite anxious to share the Bob storyline ourselves! We are incredibly hard at work, improving the daily conversations within Bob's route, and writing the penultimate act of the plot. So we'd like to share some of the progress we've made in February!

-What's your best time speedrunning this game? -If you can give advise(speedrun related/unrelated is appreciated) to those people who want to speedrun, what would it be? As myself who've unlocked everything and had done the speedrun multiple times (currently on NG+10), I want to hear other people's though as well. Or you've got any questions related to this discussion, feel free to ask, I will try my best to answer. P.S.Hope this doesn't end up being a dead thread, or else I would delete this after lol...

It is yet another exciting year for Back to the Dawn and we are working hard on completing Bob the Panther's storyline!

We would like to take the beginning of this year to thank you for your wonderful and patient support. As a show of appreciation, here is some sneak peeks of our work-in-progress!

Our more observant fans may have noticed from our devlogs that the art we are sharing is gradually entering the "prison break" portion of the game. While there is still a lot of work left to be done, we hope these snippets fills you with as much excitement as it does for us.

"Death" ending? Thanks

I did a lot, progressed things with the info on the mayor, felt like I did pretty good. Game tells me to keep my head down and wait it out, sure, why not? Only to find apparently that wasn't the right call and I get the "Death" ending. I use memory recall for the first time to realize that it goes back to the final day. Is that it? Am I really screwed out of an ending because I wasn't psychic? The game tells me every step of the way how to solve things or at least some form of hint to my goal up until the...

My suggestions and bugs i've found

I'll update these as I keep playing: • Using the Map Key should automatically go to where I currently am • Very early spoiler: Breaking up with Maggie 6 months ago should have been frontloaded information, I wanted to go with Beth but I had to call Maggie to find out '^^ Speaking of Maggie, Please have more full conversations with her! The "Share funny stories" or "Telling about your troubles" options just has Maggie react the same way (EDIT: I got unlucky to the RNG, ...

Absolutely doesn't even feel like an early access.

It's a prison simulator with some RPG elements and a lot of story to explore, both for the main character and the surrounding NPCs. The visuals and music are well managed, the minigames I (still) suck with are fun and motivating, and the puzzles are challenging without being annoying.

There's an optional new game+ feature which makes it plenty more enjoyable to replay the game and experiment the other endings, routes and outcomes; which are MANY. Again, doesn't feel like an early access. Also, there are selectable difficulties if you don't wanna get stressed out. I played in the normal mode, and it felt like a fair difficulty.

The few and minor criticisms I have are that the UI could be a bit more flexible, some warnings could be more evident, and it would be cool to have an option to skip other prisoners' dialogue if it was already seen.

Easily recommended if you like prison simulators, or puzzles, or stories, or choices&consequences. I'm sure that when it's fully out it's gonna be a universe of content.

This game was magical. Of my 21 hours of gameplay 19 of it was straight through. I got the bad ending, but there are many other endings to explore. probably another 30 or 40 hours of gameplay left in this. 10/10 experience would recomend to all.
