The game is great, but..
But if you look at it with the "This is what Duke Nukem Forever could have look and feel in early 2000s". It looks like Phantom Fury mimic these common 2000s game design problems, like when it is hard to complete the section for example because you just need to pickup Loverboy that lies on the pod , but it is too hard to notice.

that sounds like a you issue i was able to play and pick it up just fine the only way you wouldn't see it is if you were literally blind

That's a good thing, in my opinion. Not to sound elitist, but I prefer games that reward and insist upon exploration like this game does. Exploration is rewarded, so you don't just rush through levels and it gives you a reason to explore. Much better than many modern games that simply give you everything and have glowing markers on where to go and what to pick up.

Yes, I can't stand all these objective markers in modern games. I love the older FPS games where you had to work things out for yourself, and when you did, it was so rewarding.

There's barely any exploration short of one level oddly the best mission in the game, most upgrades are underwhelming at best the game is just mid overall.
