What tips would you give to new players?

Don't overthink things too much and have fun. This game is not too complex.

Go play the story, beat some stages, grind a bit if you're struggling... Have fun, really. Don't worry too much about optimization, you can handle the game by just doing whatever.

What is the strongest class?

No class is the strongest.

If you want to optimize your character's growth DURING POST-GAME, then you'll want to reincarnate them as a lot of different characters, so as to get many different stat growth passives on them.

Also, the unique classes can't really benefit from this kind of strategy, but they have really strong passives to compensate, so they're also plenty powerful.

Overall, use the classes you want. They're all good.

Where and how to grind early on?

Just do the story. After you clear the story you can do Petta Mode, and after that you will already have a party that is good enough to try grinding in Random Dungeons.

Don't overthink things in this game. Just play it and have fun~

If you don't have Chef unlocked yet you should work on that. You can do it very quickly by abusing the exp in the bonus gauge of free dungeons. Just use a Diver to skip to a deep floor and savescum until you find a floor with lots of exp in the lower gauge slots and an easy sources of points, like a high point value item.
Once you have chef unlocked you can check out "Exploiting Happy Dungeon 1" where I show how to level to 100 very early in happy dungeon 1 using food, gamble status, a syringe, and exactly 85 levels worth of facilities. Even if you've already cleared Happy Dungeon 1 and can't do the trick my way you can still apply the same principles to power level somewhere else.
