Absolutely loved my time with Asterigos. The story is told well; the combat is fun with styles to play with; the graphics are really nice and the exploration is very satisfying. Giving people the option of multiple difficulties as well as NG+ is icing on the cake.
I can sympathise with people who found that maybe there are too many items to read (there's a LOT) but you can simply just not read them too. Everything you really need to know is told to you by the characters you meet and the memories you find.
Highly recommend this under-rated gem.

A good game with an interesting story and characters, although there was too much exposition through dialog and notes. Combat was rigid at first but gets better as you unlock more skills. I really liked the exploration, it reminded me a lot of the first Dark Souls. The world is beautifully crafted and accompanied by pleasant music. I enjoyed the use of the journal to track quests. It wasn't perfect, but charming and useful. The combat wasn't challenging, and boss fights were just all right. Overall, it's an easy soulslike that can be a good entry point for someone unfamiliar with this genre.
