Fixed a bug that prevented the UV light from affecting the Sectional Beauty in the last step of "Learning the Basics"
The last e-mail to be received in "Learning the Basics" now is being properly triggered in all conditions
Fixed one more place where players could get stuck between stairs and slot machines in "The House Always Wins"

Miscellaneous:

Freed a lot of unused memory from "The House Always Wins" which can potentially mitigate memory leaks or crashes
More adjustments in Russian localization

Guys/Gals, I would love to play this game. but there is NO INVERT Y mouse axis. I can not play without doing this.. why would any NOT INCLUDE this feature..

This week has been absolutely wild here at Electric Monkeys. Between squashing bugs, reading feedback from Discord and Steam, and watching Twitch and YouTube videos of Hired 2 Die, we've been working non-stop to make the game even better for our community! Seeing players enjoy the experience has been incredibly rewarding—that was always our goal.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to write the last devlog on achievements, as every hand was needed on deck for the release. But now that the launch rush is settling, let’s shift focus to what’s next!

Beyond fixing bugs and improving balance, we’ve been actively planning the game’s future. And with that, here it is—our roadmap:

The Distortion of "A Simple Job" won't try to reach the control room through the wall anymore
Fixed a bug when inviting a friend who didn't have the game open or wasn't in the Lobby already
Fixed a condition where players would start the next day in "The House Always Wins" with the Ringmaster's Influence in full
Fixed a bug in welding the lower part of the bars in the Hunt contract of "A Simple Job"
The Ringmaster won't walk in place after killing a player for a period of time anymore
Fixed the bug where the Sectional Beauty would disappear after incapacitating a player on the generator
Fixed the bug where the Sectional Beauty would incapacitate a player twice in a row
Fixed the bug where the "Learning the Basics" tasks were not counted correctly if completed too quickly
Fixed the bug where the informational balloons in the camera manual pointed to incorrect locations

Miscellaneous:

Setting up Audio input/output should be less confusing
Garbage Cart has been retextured
Performance optimization in the Vent Traps mold effect

It says that it should have the brand name on the door but all the doors are just blank? how do i know what suitcase to buy? the manual on the guide doesnt make sense

After playing through all the scenarios in the game, here are my thoughts:

PROS:

Graphics & Ambience: The visuals and atmosphere are decent, making it easy to feel immersed in the game world.

Concept: Absolutely crazy and a ton of fun. This is every janitor's nightmare! I had genuine jump scares and even screamed like a little kid a couple of times.

Gameplay: Smooth and straightforward once you get through the tutorial. It’s easy to grasp after that.

Cooperative Aspect: Essential to the experience. This isn’t a game where you can rush through objectives solo. Strategy is critical, and without one, you won’t make it to the end.

Sound Design: Excellent. For some reason, I love the oddly satisfying sound of sweeping that disgusting goo off the floor.

Characters: Wonderfully creepy. They WILL get under your skin.

Sanity Mechanic: I LOVE how the Ringmaster can drive you crazy, affecting how you perceive the game depending on your sanity level.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT:

Difficulty: This game is HARD AS HELL. Definitely not for beginners. While I appreciate the challenge, it sometimes feels unbalanced, as if the game is determined to win unless you devise some out-of-this-world strategy. Adjustable difficulty settings or more in-game guidance would help, but that’s just my two cents.

Bugs & Glitches: It’s a bit rough around the edges. I encountered a few collision bugs and occasional issues, but I assume these will be patched over time.

Final Thoughts:
Despite the steep difficulty curve and occasional bugs, this game offers an immersive, thrilling experience packed with strategic depth and creepy charm. Perfect for players who enjoy Phasmaphobia-like games. Give it a try with your friends, this is FUN!

It's definately a yes! We enjoyed it a lot. Challenging and fun, what can be better?

A huge disadvantage of this game is that it is impossible to stop playing it xD You always want to get a better score, it's really difficult (even at the very beginning) and can be achieved in the company of friends. Teamwork is the key!

Loads of mechanics, scary screamers, interesting gameplay that will never let you rest.

It reminded me of so many games, and it has almost everything in one.

I also like the idea of decorating my home. I hope there will be more furniture in the future.

Hired 2 Die is a gem of a game!
The Gameplay is very fun and exciting and its like a mix of Viscera Cleanup Detail/Five Nights at Freddy's & Lethal Company!

But be warned the game is super addicting you always want to push a little past your shift on the clock for that one more objective - Just don't! Hired 2 Die is full of fun terror, joy and screams! Suffer your work shift together with friends!
