Is lightning considered Wind element?

Using the Magical Lightning Staff in Chapter 2.

The Karon book said attacking with the same element as the enemy is ineffective, but it also doesn't mention a lightning element, only fire-water, wind-earth, holy-dark. I assume it is (unless it's Holy), but it would be nice if someone could confirm it.

maybe its a translation thing.
but thats a big misstranslation

the thunder magic wand is DARK element

"Magical Lightning Staff" is what the screen says. I bought it in the main city for 3000 in chapter 1.

It's Dark!? Didn't expect that. I assume that's why it has a purple orb by it in the equipment screen? Good to know what that means now.

edit: I just noticed that the Earth Staff everyone is talking about is called the "Magical Staff". And I only noticed because it's the only other staff I have that has a brown orb next to it... Why are the item translations so unhelpful? Did they think the weapon names were only for flavour? Sheesh.

you have to get used to the symbols.
it even could be that i have a misstranslation and yours is the right one.

but yeah your magical ligthning stuff is dark element. and the magic wand you mentioned is earth correct.
