AWAKEN — Astral Blade | New Update is Live!

Hello everyone!

It’s been a while since our last update, but the time has come! We’re excited to bring you a brand-new patch for Awaken - Astral Blade, focusing on gameplay polish, boss rebalancing, and level design improvements. Your feedback continues to be a vital part of our development process – thank you!

Let’s take a look at what’s new:

🖥 PC-Specific Updates

Fixed bugs related to the Karpas organism
Optimized post-processing (Bloom effect) for improved visual clarity
Adjusted screen shake effect for better comfort
New setting added: You can now toggle screen shake on/off in the options menu
Steam Deck improvements: Enlarged all in-game text for better readability
Fixed rare save issue where players had a small chance of losing items
Mini-map fixes – task markers now display correctly

⚔️ Boss Balancing

Mech Mutant Prototype: Weakened knockback effect to make encounters more fair
Anti-Infiltration Model: Reduced damage and duration of specific skills
Flame Tyrant M9γ / Frozen Regent M9γ: Adjusted skill damage and cooldowns for improved pacing
The Despairing Spirit: Toxic spores will no longer knock players down

🧭 Level Design Enhancements

Electric ball traps no longer knock the player down
Enemy distribution rebalanced for smoother combat flow
More moving platforms now allow jumping through
Drone chase sequence redesigned for a better gameplay experience
Overhanging-Rock Peak area: Jump paths improved for smoother traversal
Improved visibility around the Karpas organism – no more missing dropped items
New dialogue added after Tania leaves the lab

🛠 Other Fixes

Multi-GamePad support bug has been fixed
Seasonal content fix: Christmas trees will now remain silent outside of the holiday season

We’re happy to introduce our first collaboration outfit, ‘Dream set‘ — you can now personalize your character with a unique dress inspired by Renee from Afterimage! This new update, containing some improvements and fixes, is completely FREE and available now on Steam in honor of the release of The Forgotten Legends Bundle, where AWAKEN - Astral Blade is paired with the stunning Afterimage for an unforgettable duo. You can buy the game with a 20% discount until January 28!

New outfit - The Dream Set (press the action button while standing still to dash forward, then instantly perform an elegant backward dodge). The Dream Set is Renée's favorite outfit. Ho-ho-ho, all players!

The Holiday is coming! So, we have some excellentl news for you! First, our new update is live and contains multiple adjustments, improvements, fixes, and one new Holiday costume. Please update the game to the latest version for the best possible experience.

Holiday outfit (you need to find 13 Holiday trees to unlock it)
Tania can now use snowballs instead of Gleaming Darts.
Special side missions event
Added new talent - you can use the power surge button to active Energy Burst (you don't need to switch weapons)
The scythe's finishing move and power surge skill will shoot a few fly blades.
The Finishmove and Energy Burst of Gleaming dart will lock and aim at enemies.
Improved Tania's attack.
Improve Bosses Fights experience
Fixed some SFX issues.

Greetings all players!

Our new update, containing multiple adjustments, improvements, fixes, and one new costume, is now available to download. Please update the game to the latest version for the best possible experience.

New outfit — Blood Bat Set (you will unlock it after completing the game on Hardcore mode)

Increases attack power by 10% but decreases defense by 10%.
Crafted from rare, high-density materials, this set reduces drag and improves maneuverability. However, it sacrifices protection to boost damage.

New comboBefore the final hit of each combo, when the blue halo effect lights up, using Ruthless Onslaught can deal multiple hits to the enemy.

New Difficulty mode - Expert (you will unlock it after completing the game on Hardcore mode).

Improvements and Fixes:
Improved enemy behavior and boss AI.
Fixed some translation issues.
Enhanced level design in certain areas.
Optimized performance on Steam Deck.

Our third patch, containing multiple adjustments, improvements, and fixes, is now available to download. Please update the game to the latest version for the best possible experience.

Full patch notes are listed below:

Added new attack animation for Parry!
Fixed critical bugs related to the main quest in Dr. Hervaeus's office and the side quest "The Fate of the Lost".
Fixed an issue where the main character could disappear if she tried to pet cats.
Fixed an issue where NPC’s avatars would not show up when the main character interacted with them.
Various general improvements to the main character's animation.
General improvements to performance and framerate stability in the Alien ship and Village areas (the Steam Deck version now displays 60 fps there)
Add a new tutorial for the jump challenge assistant feature (add more Jump assistant portals on the level)
Several improvements and changes to the Russian localization.
