Hello guys,

I decided to post this for the AB 👏 SO 👏 LUTE 👏 elephant in the room: The log-in bug ("Unable to connect to server" message).

Since y'all probably have grown VERY tired (including me) of this bug and I know that many of you won't bother trying to log into the game anymore because of the bug's consistency, I wanted to point out the best workaround we could possibly use to avoid this bug from preventing us from playing Global Agenda.

So the most important info about this is the following:

The server is only down during the 2 reboots per day. (A reboot sequence takes up to 10 minutes)

There's also a trick on how to tell whether you are getting the bug or you're trying to log in while the server is down:

The bug makes your game freeze for exactly 10 seconds after hitting Enter to log in.
When the server is actually rebooting, it only freezes for like 2 seconds. Useful thing to keep in mind.


Right, let's get to the point:

In order to bypass the login bug, we need to make use of running several clients of the game, the steps required to do that are the following ones:

1. Locate the Binaries folder of your Global Agenda installation directory. (For ME that would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Global Agenda Live\Binaries)

2. Right click the GlobalAgenda.exe and create a shortcut.

DO -NOT- DRAG AND DROP THE EXECUTABLE ON TO YOUR DESKTOP, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THE REST OF THE STEPS OTHERWISE!

3. Right click the shortcut, click on properties.

4. Now you can see the target line of the game, which needs a specific command added to it.

5. Add the command

-host=107.150.130.77 -hostdns=inapatl.globalagendagame.com -seekfreeloading -tcp=300 -log=

It has to look like THIS (leave the quotations in it and yes, there's a space between it, otherwise it doesn't work).

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Global Agenda Live\Binaries\GlobalAgenda.exe" -host=107.150.130.77 -hostdns=inapatl.globalagendagame.com -seekfreeloading -tcp=300 -log=

Once you have added the command, save it and press OK.

6. When you left click the shortcut on your desktop now, GA will launch without the launcher and the steam overlay. You can now either click the shortcut again and again, or middle mouse click the GA icon on your task bar to open several instances of the game.

7. Since the game freezes up once you hit login while the bug is still present, you should enable windowed mode, otherwise you can't switch between the other instances. Adjust the size of each window to your liking, depending on how many instances you opened.
For me, 3 clients do the trick within LESS THAN A MINUTE.

8. When you managed to log in, simply close the other clients and there ya go fam!


I hope this will help you all out, I just want all of you to be able to play and enjoy Global Agenda whenever YOU want, and not whenever the bug wants it. Your accessibility to the game is the most important thing there is, to sustain a good amount of player activity.
