No planting is still Not allowed

But for Grass you can fertilize the tree. And for bluebells/fern/mushrooms one Just needs to wait.

This has been replied several times: Not whilst the game is still in development.
See the other threads on why. The reasons are valid.

And there are options to run Windows programs on MacOS. Try one of those.
