Lake Haven - Chrysalis

Lake Haven - Chrysalis

why is this so cheap
and if it's a demo why are we paying for it?

It's more of a prologue than a demo, a proof of concept

A smart game developer would make something small first to test their limits, and if it catches attention, it gives them an idea of where they at and how high they can aim

Just my thoughts

Yeah sorry didn't accept it with Metal Gear Solid 5 and will not accept it with this. They just need to make a demo or make this free and charge for the full game

What does Metal Gear Solid has to do with a small game developer.

The game's price matches the scale of this project, if not a little cheap if you ask me because it's a bit higher in quality than many similar games.

It's actually not unusual for these games to be around 60 minutes, Puppet Combo for example, if it's not your cup of tea, it's perfectly fine, but I am honestly not sure what the problem is, is $3 where you draw the line with your budget.

You getting caught on the wording too much, but you simply won't listen to the reasoning

It's very risky for new devs to release large project because the market is too competitive, you need to have some established audience

They released a small cheap self-contained game that teases a bigger world, and that builds audience that they didn't have, now if they make a bigger game, the risk is much lower because they have eyes on them

They likely didn't know exactly what reception they would get, but now it's positive, they can maybe commit to something bigger

A developer should create the games of his dreams and not from the doorstep think only about profit. I have repeatedly met indie developers (especially novels) who make a short first chapter and wait for hundreds of dollars. If they do not have them make another and wait for their hundreds of dollars.
And now with the help of AI, you can make them even bigger. Yes I even see authors of their own novels using AI and then immediately screaming that they are against AI and that AI is garbage and stealing artists' bread. A clown world full of clown hypocrites. :cleanseal:
