This COULD be amazing
Ive used this program for years, and its got so much going for it. But honestly, what issues do you all have? i dont knopw if updates are planned or what content is coming, but for what we paid it doesnt even have the content in the videos, thos are paid maps he makes, fine, i get that.
But is this abandoned? is there no plans to add any content to it EVER? It breaks alot, and while its got great features it only has a few weather effects and just says :use unity to add more" like we have any idea how.

just seems like we all just want more content and im confused if the dev is planning to add or support this further. I want him too, for all its flaws the program IS awesome and it does work....half the time. haha, when it works its amazing. i mean this only as positive crit but can we all get some peace of mind with an update from the dev or a road map for planned maps, effects, content or features planned? i wanna reccomend this to my dnd mates at the shop, at uni, we have hundreds of tv dnd players, just give us SOMETHING to look forwards to or some plan for what content we can expect later :)

please dont give up and keep workiing on this, if it was a fully working thing, every tv table youtuber and dnd player should be using this, but just not as it is.

Yea I haven't seen any recent updates or real activity for months-but this program works for me. I play an in-person game, with 3d-printed minis. I have a couple of patreon subscription to animated map makers (e.g. Beneos, Battlemaps, Animated Dungeon maps). I download them and add them to my library. I use them as backgrounds, and can make minor changes to them (with tokens etc)-You really need to have a variety of maps, and hope that they generally work for your campaign.
The fog of war works pretty well, the gridding option gets a little "wonky" when changing sizes (the hexagon/pentagon?) shape seems to work best for me (rather than the squares which causes non-symmetrical sizes sometimes).
So much potential-I hope the creator doesn't give up. Just needs to market a little more-it really works well for in-person play.

Thank you for the feedback guys, I accept your criticism. Give us your ideas on what other weather effects or particle effects you would like to see in the future. By the way, there is a tutorial video on how to export particle effects from unity ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCv970tGPtA )but of course I know that not everyone wants to learn this. Note, that this software is not intended to be a map-making application, but rather (as it's stated in the description) a tool for local games. Rather, we try to focus on this in our updates.

I've been a supporter of DD for years on their Patreon page but Ive never got their program working. It's learning curve is tortuous only to find it can't read files or there is some other roadblock. Just forget it all and load the WEBM into media player and use that. Anything else is just a waste of time and effort.
