Pairing this with Dungeon Alchemist would be amazing...
If only this program could load dd2vtt files. As is, MapTool is better for just importing static image exports from map making software like Alchemist. MapTool can even import dd2vtt files, it just converts to static images.

For the digital D&D table, something like this program that accepts maps from Alchemist, or Alchemist releasing a map viewer tailored to the TV-table set-up, whichever comes first.

I use them both. I create a room in Alchemist, and import it in DDE. In Alchemist, you just have to export as a video. And this video is usable in DDE. Easy. ;)

What codec do you use for exporting... most of the videos i export from Alchemist don't show up in my story (black screen...)

How did you make this work i have tried numerous different exports and couldnt get any of them to work in Dynamic Dungeon Editor ?

MP4 export works for me but even @150dpi it looks not as sharp as it should using a 43" 4K tv. I've been unable to get webm files to work.

I export webm files using the fantasy grounds unity export at 150 dpi works great.
