Drying rack
Drying goat meat takes 7 days. The meat lasts only like 2 days. How am I supposed to dry it?

The drying rack is intended primarily for plant matter. Meat can be salted instead.

But it accepts meat and the patch note says so. Is there any way to make it work?

The drying rack has just been added, it may need some tweaking. It's never been possible to dry meat before, so the "7 days" number may just be a placeholder, or even just wrong.

It definitely needs tweeking, as it doesn't even manage to dry chilly before it expires. Either there should be a contributing factor from the sun, or it needs to be faster than three days.

Not super important but mushrooms are often dried, not sure if that is something that will be added though.

2 years later and it still doesn't work at all. The spoilage of the meat on the drying rack needs to be paused once it's placed on there. Given how long it takes to dry, I think it's fair to do.

I've wasted multiple goats before realizing it just isn't working, with anything. Pointless building, tbh.

The spoilage is greatly reduced on drying rack, otherwise it would NEVER survive the 7 days it needs to dry. Rain pauses the drying. If it rains too much, just take the food out when it gets low in durability. So yes, it works fine.
