Crash
Whenever I want to start the game, it crashes while the galaxy is being loaded. So I can start the game, pick a civ, give data for the galaxy and when pushing the button, the game freezes while the galaxy is being made. Completely. I have no error message.

Can someone help me? A reinstalling didn't work either.

Is this using a mod or the default game? Is it during map creation that the game is freezing (from the map window) or when a random map is being generated prior to the first turn?

I use the default game without any mods. The game freezes during the generation of the map BEFORE I ever come to the first turn. It's just music and nothing is possible any longer. It's not a complete crash, I can use windows key to return to windows and use ctrl alt del to stop the game.

Are you able to generate a map at the game setup window without a crash?

Your situation seems very specific to map creation, which is kind of weird given that you're using the default game files so I'm not sure if simply missing folders could be a factor but it's worth a shot.

I have reinstalled it to a completely different drive and the result is the very same. However, as I have no clue, what folders could be missed, I can hardly do something.
