A year of springs a Visual novel or rather compilation of 3 connected short stories that focus on friend group and depicts experiences of Haru who is transgender woman and also touch upon other queer identities. Author shows deep understanding of the topic that they are telling a story about. It sounds realistic and doesn’t fail to show the possible struggles that Trans person can encounter in “cis world”.
The events that take place are driver to above mentioned depictions which is something I don’t see a reason to complain about. The plot might be though provoking especially for young queer people. (If you are one of them I want you to know that you matter and you deserve happiness.) However the story is suitable for anyone no matter if you are part of LGBT+ family or not.

Visuals of the story are unique and cute. They are very friendly to the eye and fit well to the story. Even if art seem simple, characters are still expressive and interesting. Backgrounds follow this sentiment and create wholesome package that reader can enjoy.

Music in this game is not something that I would write essays about. However I will write couple of sentence to express that the BGM is enjoyable and flows well within the story. It complements the plot well without jumping in front to grab attention. It’s simple but good and it is doing it’s job right.

Rating for this story is quite easy and that is: 83/100
