- Use replay to see how you could have turned that around.
- If he had bazooka support 1) USF doesn't have early MG unless w airborne CP0
(then you have ample warning) 2) You had plenty of other tools to use.
- You can make 250s into mortars, you know
- I just noticed you said Random automatch PVP 4vs4
... ... play with pros who will carry you :)
Depending on the terrain and the amount of spam you can often get away with just normal flanking early on. Kradschutzen can get you sight on the MG so you know its position before it suppresses anything. 250 can do similar (though it has to roll up into range) and can be used to drop units behind the MG if it's not well-supported. Additionally, MGs can't suppress units in buildings or in green cover, so if you can gain a positional advantage you can often just win a shootout with them.
However, if they've truly committed to the spam and the terrain isn't favorable, your best bet is to just...go somewhere else for a bit. DAK early game is extremely mobile and MG spam is the opposite of mobile. Go 2v1 another lane and the MG spammer won't really be in a position to follow you.
Meanwhile, you can tech up for proper counters. leIGs work, as would Combat Halftracks for mortar 250s.
- Good recon helps not falling into killzones, yes
- Teching proper counters, yes. LeIG sounds like OKW mortar ^_^
