Activate Lift?

I get a button prompt to move the lift up/down but nothing happens. There's an out of order sign but I can't figure out how to activate it.

Same, I have no clue at all. Hidden button? Behind the Walter picture there is an hidden door that need all the 5 keys + 1. Where is the +1?!
