Game "Freezing" after I let a Mon out the the Elevator
This is something I keep encountering at least once per run, where I will bring up the elevator and open it to let the Mon out, it opens, the name of the free'd Mon is given, it walks away, and then after the screen transitions I will be stuck as if a cut scene is trying to play out, unable to do anything besides hit the esc key and exit out. Anyone had something like this happen to them, or is something just wrong with my copy of 24 Killers?

Doing some research and looking at the error log Loud sent me, this is the same memory leak issue that a few people have reported. It's been very difficult to reproduce on my end and seems to happen during long play sessions mostly, and seems to happen when freeing mons from the elevator or sleeping. I'm working on optimizing the game's biggest memory hogs right now. It may take some time for an optimization update, and we're in talks about neat work arounds that can be published sooner to help player's avoid this issue. My only suggestion at this moment for those experiencing this is to restart the game once every few hours. I'll go ahead and pin this thread in hopes in can help others while we work on a fix. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Hey there Loud,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing technical issues. Yes, I believe we've had this happen before in a previous version and possibly even addressed it, but it must have returned with one of the latest updates. Don't worry though — we're going to look into it and hopefully upload a fix as soon as possible!

Thank you for the report and patience! :moley:

Sorry for the trouble Loud. If possible, can you check the save data .swf folder for an error log? If this issue generated an error log it will help me track down the problem. You can paste the contents of the error log here, or email it to me at happyshabbygames@gmail.com

Where to find the save data folder that would contain an error log:
📀 Where is save data stored? This folder contains save data, config file, and error log (if generated). PC - AppData\Roaming\24Killers\Local Store#SharedObjects\24Killers.swf Steam Deck - $INSTALL_DRIVE/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/1668310/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/24Killers/Local Store/#SharedObjects/24Killers.swf if you installed on your main drive then it should be in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compdata/etc

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
