It’s totally legal—because annoyance itself isn't regulated.
“deliberate frustration” can actually be a feature, not a flaw.
There’s even a term for it: “engagement through frustration.” The idea is to keep players hooked by making success feel just out of reach. Think of rage-quitting as part of the cycle—a brutally effective retention loop. Some games even lean into it as a kind of masochistic charm (lookin’ at you, “Getting Over It”).
That said, there’s a fine line. If mechanics become predatory—say, using psychological tricks to push microtransactions—then regulators do start to care. Loot boxes, for instance, have gotten scrutiny in countries like Belgium and the Netherlands.
Every deflection goes your opponent's way, every ref whistle, you defenders are "switched off" deliberately giving space to your opponent, while his AI defenders rush at you sometimes 2-3 at the same time without him using "2nd men press".... unreal. You need ti tackle twice to get the ball while he doesn't even tackle, just run by you and off he goes for a quick counter. Game is rigged, but I still win many event matches cuz people are not good at the game.
The game is so random. It's not consistent at all. One game your AI teammates move around giving you lots of options for passing. They also auto ran into good positions to defend. The next time they were acting dumb. Stayed behind opposition defenders, and my defenders just stood there retardedly. I stopped taking this game seriously because there were too many things that we could not control.
