bonjour pourquoi le jeux ne marche pas

I can't get three monument pieces on the Pont du Gard, one is out of reach with nothing I can stand on, and two are apparently buried underground and I'm not allowed to use the shovel for no stated reason. Please fix because I can't do anything else until these are done!...

Am I doing something wrong? All the items I found on the first level I can't interact with at all. There is a steel pot, a knife, some bottles of some kind, etc. All kinds of highlighted stuff that I can't interact with in any way. I watched a youtube video where this guy just picked everything up. Nothing I have tried is working....
