Flatout on steroids

Amazing successor to Flatout. Clearly a passion project.
Absolutely idiotic but fun story and dialogs, great graphics, great music, a ton of cars and modes.
The story is just perfect in length and content unlike many racing games and it offers new game + for people who want further challenge,
One drastic change I found compared to Flatout is the driving model. It's definitely more casual and it requires a bit of getting used to it but in the end I really find it better for this type of game. Flatout always marketed itself as this kind of destruction-focused game but I felt the game was actually fairly unforgiving - It was easy to run into something and either lose so much time you can't win the race anymore because the AI was pretty good or just break your car so much that it's pointless to continue. TRAIL OUT is much more forgiving - driving cars is easier, you can take much more damage until something somewhat serious happens and respawning your car takes almost no time. I think this more arcade'y driving model is just better for the job.
One unfortunate thing about the game are a few bugs. Mainly regarding some anti-aliasing rendering, general optimization and some dialogs getting cut on the screen or going out of sync but I can understand these things can happen when the team is small and the budget isn't large and I think the team is still working on improving the game? So these things might get fixed anyway and the game may become just perfect in what it's trying to achieve.

What can I say except this game is a lot of fun and you might lose track of time! I would recommend it for car game lovers.
