I started out with a negative impression of the game thanks to how often control was wrenched from the player and the visuals, but then it won me over. Here are some problems I have with the game:

1. Despite being a pixel-art game, many elements don't conform to the main pixel density and aren't grid-aligned. Many special effects look more like RPGMaker hit-effects than bespoke assets because of this. The HUD is the element that really stands out; I REALLY wish it was the same pixel density as the main gameplay. The pixel font, menus, etc... It looks amateurish. Statues being sprited for the upright position and then rotated 30 degrees looks bad.

2. Attacks don't feel like they 'flow' together. Melee combos don't loop (like they do in Souls, etc). Combo finishers are slower to come out but don't deal more damage. Dashing after an attack with the greatsword feels awkward without a dash attack.

3. I have no idea what the spell does, even after reading the effect. Since the start of the game is so thoroughly tutorialized, couldn't you add this spell to the tutorial?
